Wrapping Up 2011!!!

BIG congrats to Holly Greene - Reserve Champion D'Alonzo Series for 18 & over and Jumping!!

Holly also won most improved rider at the Christmas party for the barn and Gabriele won best horsemanship!!

Welcome new Dutch warmblood, Visa - Erin's new super green project horse is a killer mover!  Watch out Lark!

Michael is going to George Morris clinic at Patty Ball's!

Our team finished up the rated show year at Let's Show Halloween, which was a HUGE show.  There were upwards of 30 horses in every single class.  Erin and Casino placed in top ten in Carolyn Day Older Division.  Julie got excellent ribbons in hunters in very competitive company they won champion of the 2'6" division, Michael was champion and reserve champion in his divisions.  Lindsey and Mudd got some very respectible ribbons in equitation and hunters against stiff competition.  Spider and Brittany moved up to 3', jumped around the scarey indoor Grand Prix arena and had some very nice rounds!

Kim broke down and let us hirer a braider so she could sleep!

It was a great show season, and we have several riders qualified for all three SAHJA medal finals for next year!

Lindsey also got a new warmblood (another Dutch!) (another mare!) but we haven't gotten to see her yet. Hopefully she will accompany Mudd when he comes back next spring!

Diane got a new pony, an Artful Investment guilding that is such a doll!  Her daughter Julie has been jumping him and both are showing him and he's doing great!

Kristine is currently looking for her dream horse and in meantime may be keeping Spider tuned up for Brittany over the winter!

And Courtney's new (horsey) baby Lennox by Landkonig out of her warmblood cross mare Keira is home and a LOVER.  Come see him before he is 17h!!

And good ol' Blake the tall bay hunk of schoolhorse has found a mom of his own, Gabrielle!  I will have to dig up my pic of him jumping 3' so she knows he can do it!  Gabrielle has started showing, along with Vicky and Holly.  I have no pictures of Holly and Teagan or Vicky and Laval or Donna and Doc and all the rest of you!

And we have a new adorable cutest ever barn kitty that loves Kim!

Stayed tuned for hopefully pictures of all the new kids, and as always your webmistress has limited time, so if you have cool pics of you and your horse, or show information, feel free to email and I will update the web site as soon as possible.

Julie recently bought her 2009 and 2010 mount in her two reserve champion wins in the finals of the SAHJA mini-medals, El Dorado.  Kim bought the 16h TB a few years back, totally green and Brittany won a lot on him in hunters and in the last few years Julie has been his rider.  This super sound, cute round little guy was made for the hunter ring and is schooling and showing to 3' with Julie.  Hopefully there are many wins in their future!

More to come... still under construction!

AUGUST -Caballos es aqui!!!!   Yyeeaaahhhh buddy!!!  Those were the two phrases of the weekend for a very good time at the Wine Country Classic at Brookside this weekend.  Starting Wednesday morning with 3 trucks, 3 trailers, 8 horses and who knows how many people... the Rollison Ranch team headed off to Brookside for 4 days of USEF showing.

Merrin Wright took her paint gelding Puzzled.  The pair did fabulous considering this was only their 3rd time to canter 2' courses together!!  They placed consistently in all of their long stirrup classes, and Merrin showed of her Eq skills to place 2nd in a couple of the Eq classes.

Julie Instness took her bay tb El Dorado, competing mostly in the 2'9 & 3'0 hunters & medal classes.  After placing well all week, Julie and Eldo had a fabulous Sunday.  Julie placed 1st in 4 of the 6 classes she entered, and swept the 2'9 Handy Hunter Division with ease.

Lindsey Moore and her big 17 hand chestnut tb My Name is Mudd also did well.  This was Mudd's second rated show, and he was definitely starting to show his worth by the end of the show.  The pair took two division championships in both 2'6 Handy Hunter and Long Stirrup division.  Lindsey also showed off how well behaved her mount was by demonstrating that they didn't "need no steenkin bridle" as she schooled bareback in a halter on Saturday night at our impromptu exercise session.

Brittney Lindenthal took Bobbi Tilton's Irish Sport Horse.  This pair is really starting to click over 2'9 and 3'.  They placed well in most of their classes and took home the Reserve Champion for 2'9 Handy Hunters.  Brittney was not to be outdone by Lindsey on the Saturday night.  Her and Spider sailed beautifully over a 3' vertical bareback.  Brittney was pondering leaving her saddle off the rest of the show considering how well behaved Spider was.  Unfortunately, rules are rules and the ring steward probably would have frowned upon her entering any of the classes sans saddle.

Kristine Walter took her big dark tb Jackson.  This was Kristine and Jackson's first time to compete at a rated show together, and the pair has come a long way since Kristine became Jackson's owner a few years ago.  The pair placed consistently in their hunter classes, and Jackson may have found his niche by winning multiple Hunter Under Saddle Classes.  As an added treat, Kristine borrowed Casino for Jake's Equitation Classis.  The pair made it into the finals along with Brittney and Spider.

Erin Pett decided at the last minute to take Courtney Gury's big boy Casino.  It was quite a challenge for the pair.  Erin hasn't competed in a rated show or jumped anything more than X-rails since she took Casino's damn to the Brookside 10-15 years ago, and hadn't jumped at all since last fall.  4 weeks wasn't long to re-learn how to jump 2'6, but Casino was an excellent teacher,  The pair was sailing around 2'6 - 2'9 courses in no time.  Erin was a bit rusty, and Casino was a bit lazy but they still managed to earn Reserve Champion behind Lindsey & Mudd in both 2'6 Handy Hunters & Long Stirrup.

Michael & his pony Crystal did fabulous as always.  Winning a multitude of classes and taking Reserve Champion in the Child's Pony Division. On Saturday, Crystal was not her usual charming self.  After giving Michael problems all day long, the pair did some additional schooling.  This led to one of the best times of the show as the rest of the ladies jumped on their horses bareback to give them some light exercise and schooling before putting the ponies to bed for the time.  Every one had a blast.  MITCH - WHERE IS THE VIDEO!?!?!?

Kayla & Ty had a lot of fun at this show, placing consistently in a multitude of Medal classes.  Kayla, opted to skip most of the "plain" hunter type courses and showing off her skills by focusing on Medal classes and Handy Hunters which offers more challenging courses for her big gelding. Considering the better prizes and less boring courses in the jumper ring, I think we may lose Kayla and Ty to jumpers at the next show.

All in all, it was a fabulous show for all.   Kim was super happy to have some many of her teenage all-stars returning to become her adult old-stars!! THANKS TO ALL who came out to show their support and help!!! It was great to see you all!!!
